Dogging Locations in Bristol

Bristol is a city well known for its vibrant culture, activism, alternative culture, large student population, and identity, but it is also home to some of the best dogging locations in the country!

Whether you’re a lifelong Bristolian, or just visiting for the weekend, we’re sure you’ll discover some amazing dogging sites in this list.

Clifton Downs

This has been, by far, one of the most popular and well known dogging locations in Bristol for decades, a vast open public green space with numerous spots to enjoy al fresco sex with strangers at almost anytime of the day.

There isn’t a single meeting point, but if you’re looking for action in the day, the Sea Walls public toilet where the where Mr Whippy van is parked up or anywhere in the wooded area that the Circular Road goes round is great place to start.

Once it gets dark, the area around the Downs Water Tower on Stoke Road is also an excellent option, but to be honest, if you drive around after 10pm and see a few cars parked up, 99% of the time it’s going to be doggers.

Car off the A4 by the Sea Walls

Although this car park doesn’t see as much action as the rest of Clifton Downs it is still worth a visit, and due to it’s proximity to a main road you usually get doggers who tend to favor exhibitionism more than anything. Action usually starts around 9pm

Backwell Lake Car Park

The car park for Backwell Lake off Station Road is another very popular location mostly with married couples looking for others to join in, starts getting busy around 9pm most nights.

Car Park off Castle Farm Road

As this car park is quite small and frequented by lots of walkers and people taking their dogs for exercise, not much action happens in the car park itself. It is used more as a meeting point and people venture off down the paths into the woods to have fun. The car park does have a height barrier and is usually closed at night.

Felton Common Car Parking Area

This location is a real hidden gem just outside of Bristol Airport, as most public car parks in the area are heavily restricted to stop holiday makers parking there for free. The car park is accessed of West Lane and gets a good number of visitors, including couples, groups, and singles, the action starts from 10pm most nights.

Lover’s Walk, Redland

Lover’s walks across the UK are synonymous with public sexual encounters, and this one in Redland is no different. Just round the corner from the train station you can expect to find some action along this path and in the adjacent park from 10pm most nights.

Cock Lane, Hinton

Aptly named Cock Lane in Hinton is a narrow single track rual road that has been immensely popular with the dogging community for well over a decade. This tiny rural hotspot enjoys action on a daily basis 24/7 with doggers from all walks of life enjoying what it has to offer.

Parking is very limited except for a small parking area and a few passing places along the lane, but this dosen’t seem to impede the sheer volume of people who turn up, rain or shine.

A minority of, abeit, vocal local villagers have taken umbrage with the daily visitors, but on the whole most either feel quite indifferent or even welcome them.

Tog Hill

The Tog Hill dogging site actually made it on to our list of the top 5 dogging locations in the UK, and for very good reason!

Situated east of Bristol on the A420, about 10 miles from the center, this site offers everything you could wish for, including a large car park with plently of space, picnic benches, toilets, and amazing panoramic view of Bristol and Bath.

But the dogging you can expect to experience at this site is undoubtedly unmatched anywhere else in Bristol, even the local paper, the BristolPost boasts this site has been popular for generations with upto a hundred people visiting daily!

The site is active 24/7, but is most busy from late afternoon until early morning.

Shirehampton Park Car Park

This is another fantasitc site just outside of Bristol city centre, the car park serves Shirehampton Park, is free and open 24 hours a day without any height restrictions. Action in the carpark most evenings after 10pm, during the warmer months you can also find people in the wooded areas.

Car Park off the A431/Bath Road

Car park off the A431/Bath Road behind the Swan Inn Swineford pub, not a very busy site, but still worth a check if you are in the area. Only gets busy once the pub closes.

Lay-by on the A46

There is a lay-by/small rest stop area on the A46 with a small path leading into a wooded area, couples and truck drivers, usually busy weekends after 10pm
